Quiet colour.
Traditional character.

At The Royal Oak, grey upholstered seats sit against blue-grey panelling and exposed stone. Window benches and corner seating bring a calm, consistent finish to a traditional pub interior.

Working with the room’s character

The seating follows the walls and windows, making use of the edges of the room around timber tables. Grey seat pads and cushions soften the setting, while painted vertical panelling creates a clear backdrop.

Exposed stone, a fireplace and familiar pub furniture remain prominent. The restrained colour palette gives the seating a shared identity without competing with the texture and detail around it.

The finished space

Close views show the contrast between textured grey upholstery and smooth painted panels. Seat cushions follow the wall runs and turn into the corner, with scatter cushions adding another soft layer.

The finished arrangement feels at home among the pub’s stone walls and timber furniture. Its quiet palette connects the seating areas and creates inviting places beside the windows and fireplace.
