It is also important to consider your marital status in relation to your will. If you have divorced, then a will made while you were married will be invalid. In the same sense, if your will was made before you marry (and not specifically in contemplation of the marriage) it will be invalid.

Our fixed cost for standard wills start from as little as:
£239 plus VAT (£286 including VAT) for a standard single will
£329 plus VAT (£394.80 including VAT) for standard mirror wills
Some wills be more complex than others and for more complex wills our fixed costs start from:
£349 plus VAT (£418.80 including VAT) for a standard single will
£459 plus VAT (£550.80 including VAT) for standard mirror wills
*We can store your will for free.
Where your Estate may be of a value over the inheritance tax threshold of £325000 or you have large value assets, it may be beneficial for you to have specialist advice. As these circumstances requires bespoke consultation and guidance we offer our advice at an hourly rate of £282.00 + VAT per hour. We recognise that circumstances will differ and we can discuss your requirements with you in further detail to ensure that you obtain the right advice suitable to your needs.
Here at NewBold Solicitors, we know that not all situations may require a new will to be created and that there may be circumstances where you only require an amendment to your will.
Our fixed costs for amendments to wills start from:
£145 plus VAT (£174 including VAT) for a standard single will
£200 plus VAT (£240 including VAT) for standard mirror wills
It may also be necessary for us to obtain a copy of the Land Registry Title Document for your property, which is a cost of £7.
We charge an hourly rate of £282 plus VAT (£306 including VAT) for the work involved in relation to Trusts. Following consultation, we will provide you with an estimate of our costs based on your individual requirements.
